Job summary

SUNLINK ENGINEERING SDN BHD in Kulai, Johor, seeks a Drafter (Metal Works) to prepare and modify 2D and 3D technical drawings for metal fabrication projects, supporting Engineering and Production teams.

You will produce drawings for mild steel, stainless steel, structural steel, and sheet metal works, coordinate with workshop teams, and ensure accuracy and up-to-date revisions.

Proficiency in AutoCAD and understanding of fabrication processes plus ability to read complex drawings are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in mechanical engineering or CAD drafting.
• Proficient in AutoCAD with 2D/3D drawing.
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings.
• Knowledge of mild steel, stainless steel, and sheet metal.
• Attention to detail and accuracy; good communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and modify 2D and 3D drawings for metal fabrication.
• Ensure drawings meet customer requirements for fabrication, cutting, bending, welding, and assembly.
• Coordinate with engineering and workshop teams to resolve issues.
• Prepare cutting layouts and DXF files for CNC processes.
• Maintain drawing registers and revision records.
