Job summary

SH Seng Heng Engineering Sdn Bhd in Klang is seeking a practical draughtsman who can convert engineering information into clear fabrication drawings for our workshop. The role requires understanding how steel and mechanical components are fabricated, not just how to operate CAD software.

You will prepare GA, fabrication, assembly and detail drawings for steel structures, machinery and equipment, and coordinate with engineering, production and QC on drawing revisions.

Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or related field.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience preferred; junior candidates may be considered.
• Must be able to read and understand fabrication drawings.
• Experience with steel fabrication, machinery, conveyors, tanks or structural work is an advantage.
• SolidWorks or 3D CAD is an advantage, but not compulsory.

Responsibilities

• Prepare GA, fabrication, assembly and detail drawings for steel structures, machinery and fabricated equipment.
• Prepare drawings from client drawings, engineer sketches, site measurements and existing equipment.
• Prepare / check BOM and material information.
• Coordinate with engineering, production and QC on technical details and drawing revisions.
• Maintain proper drawing numbers, revision history and issue status.
• Attend workshop or site measurements when required.
