Job summary

UST Global SM (UST) in Malaysia's Penang/Batu Kawan region is seeking a Software Developer for MES & Manufacturing Applications. You will design, develop, integrate, and support digital manufacturing solutions for 24x7 operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5+ years of software development experience.
• Hands-on MES or manufacturing applications experience is preferred.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle from requirements to production support.
• Ability to translate manufacturing requirements into technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain MES and manufacturing applications.
• Develop solutions supporting MES, Preventive Maintenance, CMMS, Recipe Management, SPC, production tracking, data collection, and dashboards.
• Understand manufacturing workflows and translate requirements into software functionality.
• Develop and troubleshoot REST API/Web Services, SQL queries, and interfaces.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Process Engineering, Quality, IT/OT, and business teams.
