Job summary

Bosch in Penang is seeking a seasoned MES/IAS leader to coordinate a team of engineers and drive Nexeed MES/IAS, CMMES and Traceability deployments at PgP1. The role involves setting up infrastructure, configuring systems and ensuring smooth daily operations.

You will troubleshoot issues, support IT resilience, train key users, and collaborate with global MES/IAS, PLC and BD teams to extend Industry 4.0 capabilities across the plant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, EE or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in manufacturing IT, MES, IAS, PLC, automation, and digitalization projects.
• At least 5 years of project management experience, PMP certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle, SQL, scripting, VB.NET, data analytics and dashboarding tools.
• Experience leading teams and managing cross-functional stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in English and able to work in a global, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate an MES/IAS Team of MES/IAS engineers in PgP1.
• Implement Nexeed MES/IAS, CMMES and Traceability systems at PgP1 and ensure smooth operations.
• Set up and manage plant MES/IAS infrastructure, system configuration, technical installations, data transfer according to MES/IAS @ME and Bosch BD standards.
• Troubleshoot and fix MES/IAS and Traceability issues to ensure stable operations.
• Support the IT emergency concept in plant to ensure IT systems are up and running.
• Support training of key users in operations and service teams across the plant.
• Schedule and perform Nexeed MES/IAS and Traceability system updates in the plant when required.
• Participate in the ME Nexeed MES/IAS and Traceability competence network, with Telcons and yearly meetings, prioritizing and implementing new functions and modules.
• Support the implementation of Industry 4.0, Connectivity, Data transfer configurations and Analytics in MES/IAS/CMMES.
• Coordinate with Global MES/IAS, PLC, ME/MFD, BCI, BD, Machine connectivity teams to ensure standards in deployment and continuous operations.
