Job summary

Bosch in Penang invites a skilled MES/IT professional to implement Nexeed MES, CMMES and Traceability systems at PgP1, and to manage plant MES infrastructure and data transfers.

You will troubleshoot MES issues, support IT emergency concepts, and train key users across the plant, while coordinating with global MES and connectivity teams to enable Industry 4.0 analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in CS/IT/Engineering or related field.
• Experience in MES, PLC, IT systems and data applications.
• Knowledge of Oracle SQL, scripting, VB.NET and database management.
• Familiarity with data analytics, dashboards and application monitoring tools.
• Understanding of IT infrastructure, servers, databases and networks.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Self-motivated team player with a willingness to learn and drive continuous improvement.
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Implement Nexeed MES, CMMES and Traceability systems at PgP1.
• Setup and manage plant MES infrastructure, system configuration and data transfers.
• Troubleshoot MES and Traceability issues to ensure stable operations.
• Support IT emergency concept in plant to keep IT systems up.
• Assist training of key users across the plant.
• Schedule and perform Nexeed MES and Traceability updates.
• Collaborate with Global MES, PLC, ME/MFD, BCI and machine connectivity teams.
• Support Industry 4.0 initiatives, connectivity, data transfer configurations and analytics in MES.
• Any other duties assigned by supervisor, especially during emergencies.

Job Description

• Implement Nexeed MES, CMMES and Traceability systems at PgP1 and ensure smooth operations in PgP1.


• Setup and manage plant MES Infrastructure, system configuration, technical installations, data transfer according to MES@ME and BCI standards.


• Troubleshoot and fix of MES and Traceability issues which occur in daily operations to ensure stable operations of the systems in plant.


• Support the IT emergency concept in plant to ensure IT system are up and running.


• Support training of key users in operations and service teams across the plant.


• Schedule and perform Nexeed MES and Traceability system updates in the plant when required.


• Participate in the ME Nexeed MES and Traceability competence network, with periodical Telcon’s and yearly meetings.


• Support the implementation of Industry 4.0, Connectivity, Data transfer configurations and Analytics in MES.


• Co-ordinated working with Global MES, PLC, ME/MFD, BCI, Machine connectivity teams to implement MES


• systems in the plant to ensure standards in deployment and continuous operations.


• Any other work related duties assigned by immediate superior specially during emergency times.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related fields.


• Experience in MES, PLC, IT Systems, and data applications.


• Knowledge of Oracle SQL, scripting, VB.NET, and database management.


• Familiarity with data analytics, dashboarding, and application monitoring tools.


• Understanding of IT infrastructure, servers, databases, and networks.
  
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.


• Self-motivated team player with a willingness to learn and drive continuous improvement initiatives.


• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is an added advantage.
