Job summary

GECO Asia Pte. Ltd invites an experienced Merchandising Manager to lead end-to-end merchandising in textile/garment manufacturing.

You will oversee product development, costing, order confirmation, production planning and shipment, ensuring customer requirements, quality standards and timely delivery. The role requires 5+ years in textile/garment merchandising within a factory environment, and a Diploma or Degree in a related field.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end merchandising: product development, costing, order confirmation, production planning and shipment.
  • Serve as main contact between customers, suppliers, production, planning, QA/QC, sourcing and warehouse teams.
  • Review customer requirements, specs, tech packs, samples, and production schedules.
  • Coordinate with the factory to meet quality, quantity, cost and delivery requirements.
  • Monitor production progress, WIP, fabric/accessory availability, and shipment schedules.
  • Follow up on sampling, fabric sourcing, trims, and approvals to ensure timely production.
  • Provide regular updates on production status, delays, and issues.
  • Identify production risks and implement solutions to avoid delays or quality issues.
  • Lead merchandising team and develop staff.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Merchandising Manager with strong experience in the textile/garment manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end merchandising process, from order development and costing through production and final shipment, while ensuring customer requirements, quality standards, and delivery timelines are met.

Key responsibilities

Manage the end-to-end merchandising process, including product development, costing, order confirmation, production planning, and shipment.

Act as the main point of contact between customers, suppliers, production, planning, quality, and factory teams.

Review customer requirements, specifications, tech packs, samples, and production schedules.

Coordinate with the factory to ensure orders are produced according to quality, quantity, cost, and delivery requirements.

Monitor production progress, WIP, fabric/accessory availability, and shipment schedules.

Follow up on sampling, fabric sourcing, trims, accessories, and approvals to ensure timely production.

Manage customer orders and provide regular updates on production status, delays, and potential issues.

Work closely with the Production, Planning, QA/QC, Sourcing, and Warehouse teams to resolve production and delivery issues.

Review and negotiate product costing, pricing, lead times, and order requirements where required.

Identify potential production risks and implement solutions to avoid delays or quality issues.

About you

Diploma or Degree in Textile, Garment, Fashion, Merchandising, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in textile/garment merchandising, with experience in a factory or manufacturing environment.

Previous experience in a Merchandising Manager / Senior Merchandiser / Merchandising Supervisor role is preferred.

Strong understanding of textile and garment manufacturing processes, from fabric/raw materials through production and shipment.

Experience handling customer orders, costing, sampling, production follow-up, and delivery schedules.

Good knowledge of fabric, trims, accessories, garment construction, and quality requirements.

Strong understanding of production planning, lead times, and factory operations.

Excellent communication, negotiation, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage multiple customer orders and work effectively under tight deadlines.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a merchandising team.
