Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Merchandiser to join our Kuala Lumpur team on a full-time basis. You will drive product visibility and brand representation, working closely with retail partners and store managers to meet sales targets.

The role involves visiting supermarkets and stores, ensuring planograms are followed, maintaining neat shelves, launching new products, monitoring stock and pricing, and supporting promotions and stock rotation.

• Retail or consumer products experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Visit supermarkets and retail stores according to the assigned schedule.
• Check product display conditions and ensure planogram compliance.
• Maintain neat and attractive shelves to improve product visibility.
• Assist in launching new products and securing optimal shelf placement.
• Monitor inventory levels and prevent stockouts.
• Verify pricing, promotions, and shelf tags for accuracy.
• Support in-store promotions, product sampling, and roadshows.
• Maintain good relationships with store staff and managers.
• Report market information and stock issues to management.

About the role

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Merchandiser to join our team in Kuala Lumpur on a full-time basis. You will play a strategic role in driving product visibility and brand representation. You will work closely with retail partners and store managers to ensure our herbal and natural wellness products capture consumer attention and achieve sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Regularly visit supermarkets, and retail stores according to the assigned schedule.
• Check product display conditions in outlets.
• Ensure products are displayed according to the planogram.
• Maintain neat and attractive shelves to improve product visibility.
• Ensure new products are properly launched and given optimal shelf placement.
• Monitor inventory levels and shelf stock availability.
• Prevent out-of-stock situations.
• Check product expiry dates and recommend stock rotation (FIFO – First In, First Out).
• Verify retail prices, promotional prices, shelf tags, and POSM (Point-of-Sale Materials) for accuracy.
• Assist in executing in-store promotions, product sampling, roadshows, and new product launches.
• Maintain good working relationships with store managers, supervisors, and store staff.
• Coordinate and resolve issues related to stock shortages and merchandising problems.
• Monitor competitors’ pricing, promotions, shelf space, and merchandising activities.
• Collect market information and report it to management.
• Perform any other temporary or support tasks assigned by management.
