Job summary

China State Construction Engineering Corporation in Malaysia seeks an experienced MEP Engineer to supervise and coordinate all MEP installation works for Data Centre projects. You will review shop drawings, construction drawings, specs and method statements, and coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors and internal project teams to resolve issues.

You will monitor site progress, ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, local authority requirements and safety regulations, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in building construction projects.
• Data Centre project experience is highly preferred.
• Familiar with critical MEP systems.
• Knowledge of Testing & Commissioning (T&C) procedures and MEP system integration.
• Able to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) installation works for Data Centre projects.
• Review MEP shop drawings, construction drawings, specifications, method statements and technical submissions.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors and internal project teams to resolve technical and site-related issues.
• Monitor site progress to ensure works are completed according to project schedule, approved drawings and quality standards.
• Ensure all MEP works comply with project specifications, local authority requirements and safety regulations.
• Coordinate material delivery, inspections, testing and commissioning (T&C), and final handover activities.
• Attend technical coordination meetings and provide engineering support during project execution.
• Prepare RFIs, inspection requests, progress reports, as-built documentation and other project records.
• Identify construction clashes and coordinate with other disciplines to ensure smooth project execution.
• Assist the Project Manager in planning, scheduling and overall project coordination.
