Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an MEP Cost Manager for a large-scale data centre project. You will manage cost and commercial aspects of MEP works, ensuring cost control, financial accuracy, and value optimisation within strict budgets and schedules.

Responsibilities include cost planning, tendering, procurement support, payment certification, and risk mitigation across power, cooling, fire and cabling systems. Experience in data centres or mission-critical environments is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management, MEP engineering, or related field.
• MRICS or equivalent certification is an advantage.
• 5–10 years' cost management experience with MEP systems in data centres or similar.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, cost plans and budgets for MEP systems.
• Provide cost advice during design stages for power, cooling and building services.
• Track project costs and ensure alignment with approved budgets.
• Prepare tender documentation for MEP trade packages and manage tender processes.
• Support procurement strategies and manage variations and cost changes.
• Review contractor progress claims and certify interim payments.
• Maintain cost records and prepare regular reports and cash flow analyses.
