Job summary

IJM Corporation Berhad is seeking a Mechanical and Electrical Engineer to coordinate the installation, integration, and commissioning of MEP systems across projects in Malaysia. You will support external facility equipment (OFE) such as power and cooling and work with ACMV and BMS implementations.

You will oversee ACMV systems (chilled water, CRAC/CRAH, ducting, ventilation) and ensure proper integration of BMS with HVAC, power, fire protection, and monitoring systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field is required.
• 4+ years of experience in construction field is required.
• Strong analytical and communications skill are essential.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support the installation, integration and commissioning of MEP systems, including external facility equipment (OFE) such as power and cooling systems.
• Monitor and assist in the implementation of ACMV and Building Management Systems (BMS) to ensure proper operation, environmental control and system reliability.
• Oversee ACMV systems including chilled water piping, CRAC/CRAH units, ducting, airside distribution and ventilation systems.
• Ensure effective integration of BMS with HVAC, power, fire protection and monitoring systems.
• Review shop drawings, technical submissions and material specifications to ensure compliance with project standards and engineering requirements.
• Monitor construction progress and ensure quality of workmanship, timely completion and adherence to safety regulations.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors and vendors to resolve technical and coordination issues during design and construction.
• Plan and participate in functional testing, system integration, and commissioning activities for mechanical and electrical systems.
