Job summary

AstraZeneca Malaysia is seeking a Medical Affairs professional to develop and implement medical strategies and engage with scientific leaders. You will translate data into medical insights, support internal teams with trends, and help shape strategies for priority brands in Malaysia.

The role requires strong knowledge of regulatory developments and extensive relationship management, with a focus on compliant, data-driven medical communication in a dynamic market.

Qualifications

• Experience in Medical Affairs within pharma/healthcare.
• Extensive knowledge of latest technical and regulatory developments.
• Extensive relationship and partner management experience.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain engagement with scientific leaders (KOLs).
• Share emerging data with medical community in a balanced way.
• Provide medical insights to internal partners on trends and competitive intelligence.
• Develop local medical plans addressing unmet needs and align with brand strategy.
• Lead pre-launch medical activities for new products two years ahead of launch.
• Contribute to Life Cycle Management and medical programme leadership.
• Ensure promotional material complies with SOPs and IFPMA code.

Education

PhD or MD preferred
