MULTIMEDIA CONTENT CREATOR (Videographer & Photographer)

Job Summary

We are looking for a creative and hands‑on Multimedia Content Creator to produce high‑quality photo and video content for our tourism, transportation, car rental, and travel services.

This role focuses mainly on behind‑the‑camera content creation. The candidate does not need to appear on camera.

Key Responsibilities

Video Production

• Plan, shoot and produce videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook and other social media platforms.
• Capture videos of tours, destinations, hotels, transportation services, car rentals, events and company activities.
• Create short‑form promotional, educational and entertaining videos.
• Operate cameras, smartphones, gimbals, microphones and other basic filming equipment.
• Capture suitable B‑roll, cinematic shots and travel footage.
• Edit short‑form and long‑form videos for social media and marketing campaigns.
• Add music, sound effects, subtitles, captions, transitions and graphics.
• Perform basic colour correction and colour grading.
• Create engaging video hooks and storytelling.
• Resize and format content according to TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and other platforms.
• Ensure videos are completed according to the company’s content schedule.

Photography

• Take professional photographs for Vehicles & car rentals, Hotels & accommodations, Events, Company/team activities, Promotional campaigns.
• Edit and enhance photographs for social media, website and marketing materials.
• Organise and maintain photo/video files.

Social Media Content

• Develop creative content ideas based on current social media trends.
• Assist in creating a monthly content calendar.
• Produce content that promotes MyBorneo’s services, destinations and packages.
• Research relevant TikTok/Reels trends, sounds and content formats.
• Work together with the Marketing Team to develop campaigns.
• Suggest new creative concepts to increase engagement and reach.

On‑Site Content Creation

• Travel to different locations for filming and photography when required.
• Capture content during tours, day trips, events, inspections and promotional activities.
• Be comfortable working outdoors and in different weather conditions.
• Occasionally work outside normal office hours when content production requires it.

Requirements

• Experience in videography, photography, video editing or content creation.
• Good understanding of social media platforms, especially TikTok, Instagram and Facebook.
• Able to use editing software such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro or similar.
• Basic photography and videography skills.
• Creative eye for composition, lighting and storytelling.
• Able to operate a camera, smartphone, gimbal and basic filming equipment.
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Willing to travel to filming locations.
• A portfolio of previous work is an advantage.
• No requirement to appear on camera.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in tourism, travel, hospitality or lifestyle content.
• Knowledge of TikTok/Reels trends.
• Basic graphic design skills using Canva, Photoshop or similar.
• Basic knowledge of colour grading and audio editing.
• Ability to create cinematic travel videos.
• Own camera, gimbal, laptop or editing equipment is an advantage.

Key Performance Indicators (KPI)

• Consistent production of quality photo and video content.
• Completion of assigned content according to the monthly content calendar.
• Quality and creativity of edited videos.
• Social media engagement and content performance.
• Ability to produce content independently from filming to final edit.
• Timely delivery of marketing materials.
• Number of usable photos/vi* /videos produced per month.
