Job summary

inTEST EMS designs and manufactures engineered solutions for ATE and other electronic tests, as well as industrial process applications, with a global customer base including semiconductor manufacturers.

The Electronics/Mechatronics Engineer in Penang, Malaysia, reports to the Director of Engineering and supports the EMS division. The role involves collaborating across engineering disciplines to deliver value-added solutions and mentoring other positions as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Expert PLC experience required.
• Experience with electrical and automation components (PLCs, sensors, motor controllers, VFDs) preferred.
• Experience in PCB design and system-level circuitry preferred.
• AutoCAD/SolidWorks knowledge for electrical applications and control systems preferred.
• 3+ years in industrial automation (motion control, robotics, laser systems, machine vision) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create control system designs for customer equipment applications.
• Specify electrical and electromechanical components.
• Interface with global engineering team and attend design reviews.
• Develop software meeting design requirements for control systems.
• Create technical drawings to define control systems.
