Job summary

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Building Services related field is required.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant site supervision experience in Electrical/Mechanical/ACMV/HVAC.
• Experience in data center, mission-critical facilities or large infrastructure projects is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with ACMV/HVAC installations and related software (AutoCAD, Revit MEP, HAP, TRACE 700).
• Fresh candidates with strong supervision background may be considered for junior roles.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily Electrical, Mechanical, and ACMV works at project sites.
• Monitor contractors and subcontractors to ensure safety, on-time completion and adherence to requirements.
• Track progress and implement corrective actions to meet project schedules.
• Support installation, testing, commissioning of ACMV/HVAC systems and related equipment.
• Conduct site inspections for quality and safety compliance; prepare reports and records.
• Coordinate with Engineers, Consultants, Contractors and stakeholders for smooth execution.

Mechanical Supervisor (Data Center Construction)

About the Role

PMX Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated and hands‑on Mechanical Supervisor to join our growing Data Center Project team. This role is responsible for overseeing daily site activities, coordinating contractors, monitoring project progress, and ensuring Mechanical, Electrical, and ACMV installations are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements.

You will work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Consultants, and Contractors to support the successful delivery of mission‑critical data center infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily Electrical, Mechanical, and ACMV works at project sites.

• Monitor contractors and subcontractors to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and according to project requirements.

• Track project progress, identify site issues, and implement corrective actions to meet project schedules.

• Support installation, troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning of ACMV/HVAC systems, including chillers, AHUs, ducting, and related equipment.

• Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with quality, safety, and engineering standards.

• Prepare site reports, progress updates, inspection records, and other project documentation.

• Coordinate with Engineers, Consultants, Contractors, Suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.

• Attend site meetings and provide updates on work progress and site activities.

• Support project handover, audits, inspections, and commissioning activities.

• Perform any other duties assigned by Management, Project Manager, or Head of Department from time to time.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or related disciplines.

• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in Electrical, Mechanical, ACMV, or HVAC site supervision.

• Experience in data center, mission‑critical facilities, industrial, commercial, or infrastructure projects will be an added advantage.

• Hands‑on experience in installation, testing, and commissioning of ACMV or Electrical systems and familiarity with HVAC design software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, HAP (Hourly Analysis Program), TRACE 700.

• Fresh candidates with strong site supervision experience may also be considered for junior positions.

• Strong technical knowledge of Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, and ACMV systems.

• Good understanding of construction activities, site coordination, and project execution.

• Ability to manage multiple site activities and work under tight project schedules.
