Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking Mechanical Project Managers for Data Centre Construction in Johor Bahru to lead cooling infrastructure projects. You will oversee the installation of large-scale chilled water systems and assist in the deployment of advanced cooling topologies for high-density AI clusters.

The role requires coordinating piping networks, containment, gas suppression systems per BOMBA requirements, and the setup of ventilation and backup generator fuel supply networks.

Qualifications

• Experience leading mechanical systems for large facilities.
• Strong knowledge of cooling infrastructure and project delivery.
• Familiarity with safety standards and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the installation of large-scale chilled water systems and related cooling equipment.
• Lead deployment of advanced cooling topologies for high-density data centres.
• Manage piping networks, valve matrices and containment for critical infrastructure.
• Coordinate gas suppression systems and fire safety integration per regulations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Cooling Infrastructure & Technical Execution

• System Delivery: Oversee the installation of large-scale chilled water systems, including high-efficiency centrifugal chillers, cooling towers, Computer Room Air Handlers (CRAHs), and Computer Room Air Conditioning (CRAC) units.
• Liquid Cooling Transition: Drive the deployment of advanced cooling topologies for high-density AI clusters, including Direct-to-Chip (Direct-to-CHip / Liquid-to-Water) cooling, rear-door heat exchangers, and Coolant Distribution Units (CDUs).
• Piping & Containment: Manage the fabrication and installation of heavy-duty condenser and chilled water piping networks, valve matrices, and secondary containment loops.
• BOMBA Integration: Lead the deployment of mission-critical gas suppression systems (e.g., Inergen, FM200, Novec 1230) and Pre-Action dry-pipe sprinkler systems, ensuring strict alignment with BOMBA requirements.
• Ventilation & Smoke Extraction: Supervise the installation of pressurization fans, smoke spill systems, and fuel oil supply/storage networks for backup diesel generators.
