Job summary

Daifuku Oceania in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer on a 12-month fixed-term contract to support major automation, baggage handling and intralogistics projects across APAC.

You will apply your design, modelling and project documentation skills to complex systems used in airports, warehouses and distribution centres, using AutoCAD, Inventor and BIM tools while aligning with regional standards.

Qualifications

Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
3+ years’ experience in mechanical engineering, project engineering, design coordination or mechanical systems delivery.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Inventor with exposure to Revit/Navisworks/BIM.
Experience developing conveyor layouts and engineering models.
Ability to prepare technical drawings and BOMs; strong knowledge of material handling and automation.

Responsibilities

Apply design, modelling and project documentation to complex airport and intralogistics systems.
Collaborate with regional project teams and use BIM tools.
Ensure compliance with regional engineering standards and project goals.

Daifuku Oceania is looking for a Mechanical Project Engineer to join our Kuala Lumpur team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, supporting major automation, baggage handling and intralogistics projects across APAC.

This is a hands-on engineering role where your design, modelling and project documentation skills will directly support complex systems used in airports, warehouses and distribution centres. You will work with experienced regional project teams, use leading design and BIM tools, and gain exposure to Australian and New Zealand engineering standards.

What You’ll Bring

Degree in Mechanical Engineering
3+ years’ experience in mechanical engineering, project engineering, design coordination or mechanical systems delivery
Intermediate proficiency in AutoCAD and Inventor with someexposure to Revit, Navisworks or BIM beneficial
Experience developing or maintaining conveyor layouts, mechanical layouts, Revit families, Navisworks environments or engineering models beneficial
Ability to prepare and interpret functional design specifications, bills of materials, technical drawings and engineering documentation
Strong understanding ofmaterial handling, baggage handling, automation or intralogistics systems
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work autonomously
