Job summary

StaffKing Pte Ltd in Malaysia is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to join our manufacturing and process engineering team. You will drive process improvements, assess equipment performance and support fabrication, installation and commissioning of production facilities.

The role requires a Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, familiarity with CAD tools like AutoCAD or SolidWorks, and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• This role requires a Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in mechanical engineering, manufacturing, production or industrial engineering is preferred.
• Familiarity with mechanical equipment, manufacturing processes and engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of mechanical testing, product inspection, quality control or equipment troubleshooting is advantageous.
• Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support and improve manufacturing processes to enhance production efficiency, product quality and operational performance.
• Perform mechanical engineering assessments, including equipment evaluation, component selection and load calculations.
• Prepare and review mechanical drawings, engineering specifications, technical reports and related documentation.
• Support the development, modification and installation of mechanical structures, equipment and production facilities.
• Conduct product testing, inspections and performance evaluations to ensure compliance with technical specifications and quality requirements.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing and equipment-related issues, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Work closely with production, R&D, QA/QC and technical teams to resolve engineering and operational challenges.
• Coordinate with external suppliers, contractors and engineering partners on fabrication, installation and equipment commissioning.
• Identify opportunities for process optimisation, cost reduction and equipment reliability improvement.
• Ensure engineering activities comply with relevant safety, quality and industry standards.

We are looking for a hands-on and technically capable Mechanical Engineer to join an established engineering and manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be involved in mechanical engineering, manufacturing process improvement, equipment reliability and product quality, supporting ongoing operational and engineering activities.
