Job summary

Motorola Solutions Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a mechanical design engineer to develop antennas for two-way radios. You will perform design, simulation, optimization, validation and testing to ensure product reliability and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor degree in mechanics/thermal/fluid controls or related fields, with at least 3 years in mechanical design and experience with CAD/3D modeling. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to success.

• Experience with mechanical simulations (CAD, 3D modeling).
• Preparing mechanical prints and drawings with specifications and testing requirements.
• Familiar with RF equipment such as CMW, network analyzer and spectrum analyzer.

Job description

Responsible for the design and development of two-way radios' antennas to be used by all products.

Mechanical design, simulation, optimization, validation and test activities associated with the antenna development will be required to ensure products compliance to reliability and regulatory standards.

Basic Requirements

• Bachelor degree or above majoring in Mechanics and Forces, Thermal and Fluids, Control System or similar related areas.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Mechanical design.
• Experienced with mechanical simulations eg. CAD, 3D modeling, etc.
• Preparing mechanical prints and drawings with specifications and testing requirements.
• Well versed in analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good knowledge of material properties.
• Familiar with RF equipment such as CMW, network analyzer and spectrum analyzer. Good team spirit, good communications and interpersonal skills. Able to work well with cross-functional teams.
