Job summary

TTES (Northern) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Butterworth, Penang. This full-time role focuses on design, installation, servicing and project coordination of overhead cranes, hoists and material handling equipment, with a mix of office and site-based work.

You will prepare mechanical drawings in AutoCAD, assist on crane projects, perform basic calculations and provide technical support to the service and project teams. Travel to customer sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 1-2 years of working experience in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and able to read mechanical drawings.
• Experience in machinery, equipment, fabrication, crane, hoist or material handling is a plus.
• Able to perform basic mechanical calculations and understand technical specifications.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to travel to customer sites when required.
• Possess a valid Malaysian driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review mechanical drawings using AutoCAD.
• Assist in crane, hoist and material handling equipment projects.
• Perform basic mechanical calculations and assist with technical requirements.
• Conduct site visits, measurements and inspections.
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers, technicians and subcontractors.
• Assist in preparing quotations, material costing and project documentation.
• Monitor project progress and ensure work is completed according to requirements.
• Provide technical support to the service and project team.
• Assist in troubleshooting mechanical and equipment-related issues.
• Prepare technical reports and other project documentation.
• Perform other engineering duties assigned by management.
