Job summary

SCK Integration Sdn Bhd in Malaysia seeks a field service/maintenance engineer to investigate and troubleshoot mechanical problems at customer sites and production facilities, perform on-site inspections, and identify failure modes. You will propose corrective actions and work with Design Engineers on modifications.

Responsibilities include reviewing Mechanical structures, suggesting improvements, supporting testing and commissioning, and preparing failure analysis reports to enhance reliability

Responsibilities

• Investigate and troubleshoot mechanical problems and equipment failures at customer sites and production facilities.
• Conduct on-site inspections to understand equipment operation, mechanical structures, failure modes and operating conditions.
• Identify mechanical failure root causes and propose practical corrective and improvement solutions.
• Work closely with Mechanical Design Engineers to develop and implement design modifications and improvement solutions.
• Review existing mechanical structures, mechanisms, components and assemblies to identify potential weaknesses and improvement opportunities.
• Provide technical recommendations for mechanical modifications, replacement of components and design improvements.
• Support the Design Team in evaluating the feasibility and practicality of proposed solutions.
• Perform site measurements, collect technical information and provide feedback for design modification.
• Coordinate with Design, Production, Service and other relevant departments to implement improvement solutions.
• Follow up on improvement implementation and verify the effectiveness of corrective actions.
• Prepare technical reports, failure analysis reports and improvement proposals when required.
• Monitor recurring mechanical failures and recommend preventive measures to improve equipment reliability and performance.
• Support testing, commissioning and troubleshooting of modified or improved equipment.
