Job summary

Seong Henng is seeking an on-site Mechanical Engineer to provide engineering services and technical support to on-site supervision staff, ensuring risk reviews, pre-start inspections and operating procedures are completed for process safety equipment.

You will work with operations and maintenance to update SOPs, generate work notifications and scopes for repairs, and exercise professional judgement on engineering solutions while leading teams to successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical engineering with 2+ years of experience.
• Experience or exposure to process safety inspections/auditing.
• Experience with tanks, pressure vessels and piping integrity inspections, assessment and repair.

Responsibilities

• Work with operations and maintenance personnel to update standard operating procedures and participate in process safety risk assessments.
• Provide mechanical engineering support to the site by generating work notifications and work scopes for the repair of process safety related equipment.
• Exercise professional judgement in resolving engineering issues, i.e. construction methods, design, engineering procedures, etc.
• Verify subcontractors’ claims and able to cost controlling in meeting the budgets for individual clients.
• Report any defects and non-compliance on project performance.
• Excellent in leading the teams and subcontractors to achieve project outcomes.
• On-site monitoring the projects and provide professional recommendations to ease of the operation procedures.
