Job summary

GSB Niaga Sdn. Bhd. invites applications for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to maintain and improve reliability of mechanical equipment.

Based in Malaysia, the role focuses on preventive and corrective maintenance across pumps, motors, compressors and bearings. You will plan maintenance, troubleshoot breakdowns, monitor performance, document reports and ensure safety procedures. Requires Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, BEM registration, 3-5 years' experience, and Malaysian nationality

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Valid registration as a Graduate Engineer with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).
• 3–5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance (or 3–5 years, 1–3 years).
• Malaysian nationality only.
• Own transport: Car/Van.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Troubleshoot mechanical equipment breakdowns and identify root causes.
• Monitor equipment condition and performance.
• Coordinate maintenance work with technicians, contractors, and other departments.
• Prepare maintenance reports and records.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with safety and company procedures.
• Recommend improvements to reduce downtime and maintenance costs.
