Job summary

Turner & Townsend, a global professional services firm, is seeking an experienced inspection specialist in Malaysia to perform routine mechanical and electrical inspections, ensure works conform to drawings, specs, and codes, and coordinate with contractors and project teams.

The role emphasizes QA/QC, safety, documentation, and witnessing testing/commissioning activities, with 5–10 years of data center or mission-critical project experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of inspection experience, preferably in data center or mission-critical projects.
• Strong knowledge of international standards (ASHRAE, IEEE, NEC, IEC).
• Experience in QA/QC inspection processes and documentation.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of mechanical or electrical installations (HVAC systems, chilled water piping, generator systems, switchgear, UPS, cabling, etc.).
• Ensure all works are executed in accordance with design drawings, technical specifications, and applicable codes.
• Monitor contractor activities and verify quality of workmanship.
• Identify non-conformances and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Witness and verify testing & commissioning activities (FAT/SAT, pre-functional, functional testing).
• Maintain detailed inspection records, reports, and documentation.
• Coordinate with project managers, consultants, and contractors to resolve technical issues.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and project QA/QC procedures.
• Support handover documentation and final acceptance processes.
