Job summary

Yaw Ngiap Sdn. Bhd. in Nilai, Malaysia is seeking a Mechanical/Mechatronics engineer to design automation machines, fixtures and related parts based on customer requirements using Autodesk Inventor.

You will prepare detailed drawings and BOMs, coordinate with production, vendors and clients, and support assembly, troubleshooting and documentation while traveling regionally as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed parts drawings and BOM for fabrication and assembly.
• Follow up schedule with in-house production, machine vendors and parts suppliers.
• Complete assigned tasks within the schedule by ES head.
• Maintain project schedule and monitor progress; coordinate activities and resolve problems.
• Control project plan by reviewing specifications and schedule changes; recommend actions.
• Assist in equipment assembly, setup, troubleshooting & customer support.
• Prepare Machine Operation Manual and documentation.
• Report progress to ES head daily.
• Meet with clients to establish requirements for new or existing product/system.
• Travel to factories or locations for project requirements.

Job description

· Design automation machines, fixtures and related parts based on conceptual, and requirements provided by customer using Autodesk Inventor.

· Prepare detailed parts drawing & build BOM for fabrication & assembly.

· Follow up schedule with in-house production department, machines vendors and parts suppliers.

· Complete all assigned tasks as delegated by the Engineering Solution (ES) Head within the schedule given.

· Maintain project schedule, monitor project progress; coordinate activities; resolving problems.

· Control project plan by reviewing specifications, plan, and schedule changes; recommending actions.

· Assist in equipment assembly, setup, troubleshooting & customer support.

· Prepare Machine Operation Manual and documentation.

· Report to ES head for daily progress of projects or jobs.

· Meeting and liaise with clients when needed.

Requirements:

· Degree (Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering) & above

· At least 1 – 2 years’ experience in Factory Automatic System (Pick and Place, Conveyor, sensors, etc)

· Experience in Industrial Automation Machine Design, Pneumatic system, Motor and etc.

· Proficient in 3D CAD software (Autodesk Inventor, preferred)

· Project management capability is preferred.

· Familiar with manufacturing process & materials

· Able to work independently, is responsible and a team player with good work ethics and attitude

· Regional travel may be required, including non-official workdays.

· Meeting with clients to establish their requirements for new or existing product/system

· Travelling to factories or other locations for project requirement.
