Test Tooling Solutions Group (TTS Group) in Malaysia seeks a Mechanical Designer to contribute to semiconductor test tooling projects. You will review inputs from Sales, define design schedules with Program Management, and develop design specifications for new requests.

The role emphasizes improving design quality and proactive collaboration with manufacturing, QA, and cross-functional teams. Ideal candidates hold a Master or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Design with 3+ years

Qualifications

• Master or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Design.
• Minimum 3 years product design experience, senior level.
• Minimum 1 year mechanical design experience, junior level.
• Proven design development through prototyping, testing and evaluation.
• Hands-on with Solidworks and related tools preferred.
• Knowledge in DFMEA and semiconductor test hardware advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Review design input and advise design schedule with PM/ Sales.
• Provide design specifications for new requests.
• Improve design quality through innovative practices.
• Participate in design reviews with manufacturing and justify details.
• Liaise with production and QA for drawing issues.
• Dispostion for dimensional non-conforming issues found by QA.
• Perform design simulation / design risk assessment when needed.
• Carry out other responsibilities as assigned by Management.

Description du poste

Review design input from Sales/Customer and advise design schedule to Program Management department/Sales.

Apply innovative problem solving skills to provide design specification for new design request.

Challenge and develop engineering practices to continuously improve design quality.

Participate in regular design reviews with manufacturing team - justify design details and collaborate with other specialists.

Liaise with production and QA for design and engineering drawing related issues.

Provide disposition for any dimensional non-conforming issues found by QA during bug off

Responsible to perform design simulation / design risk assessment when necessary

Carry out any other responsibilities as and when assigned by the Management.

Required Qualification & Experience

Master or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Design in a related area

Minimum 3 years product design experience preferably in test solution and or mechanical design (Senior level)

Minimum 1 year experience in mechanical design (Junior level).

A strong understanding of practical or methodical design development through prototyping, testing and evaluation of results.

Preferably with hands on experience in one or more of the following design software - Solidworks, Cosmosworks, Solidworks Flow Simulation, Monte Carlo Analysis, etc.

Knowledge in DFMEA, Problem solving skills, Semiconductor test and validation hardware (Test Contactor, Hand Socket Lid, etc.) for QFN, QFP, BGA, LGA, PGA would be advantageous
