Job summary

SJ Group is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 2 years of design and site installation experience. The role requires proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM, and a willingness to work on outstation projects in Malaysia.

You will attend client meetings, prepare tender documents and cost estimates, evaluate tenders, review shop drawings, and administer mechanical works contracts. Prior M&E consulting experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BEM recognized).
• Minimum 2 years in design and site installation for HVAC, fire-fighting, plumbing, lifts, compressed air, BMS, LPG, etc.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, BIM is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Attend client consultant and site project meetings.
• Prepare mechanical services design, tender documents and cost estimates.
• Perform tender evaluation and prepare tender evaluation reports.
• Review shop drawings and submissions for compliance with specifications.
• Administer mechanical engineering works contracts.
• Ad-hoc duties assigned by superior.
