Job summary

SJ Group in Malaysia is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our M&E team. The role involves attending client consultant and site project meetings and preparing mechanical services designs, tender documents and cost estimates.

You will also perform tender evaluations, review shop drawings and material submissions for compliance, and administer building services contracts. Candidates should have a degree in Mechanical Engineering, 2+ years of relevant experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD,

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a BEM recognized University.
• A minimum 2 years of relevant experience in design and site installation of air-conditioning & mechanical ventilation system, fire-fighting system, water plumbing & sanitary system, lift system, compressed air system, building management system, liquified petroleum gas system and etc.
• Knowledge in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM and Engineering Design software will be an added advantage.
• Experience in M&E consulting engineering company will be preferred.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Must be willing to work in outstation, whenever required

Responsibilities

• Attend client consultant and site project meetings.
• Prepare Mechanical services design, tender documents and cost estimates.
• Perform tender evaluation and prepare tender evaluation reports.
• Review shop drawings and construction material submissions for compliance to specifications.
• Administer Mechanical Engineering works contract of building services.
• Any ad-hoc duties assigned by immediate superior
