Job summary

PEC SE ASIA SDN BHD in Penang, Malaysia, invites a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our mission of enabling green battery production. You will own mechanical design from concept through installation on battery testing equipment and production lines, collaborating with software, electronics, and automation engineers.

We seek a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, strong communication, and fluency in English; familiarity with Design For Manufacturing/For Assembly; and experience in

Qualifications

Holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and is highly engaged in project outcomes.
Demonstrates strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and suppliers.
Excellent written and verbal English skills are required.
Familiar with Design For Manufacturing and Design For Assembly principles.
Experience in automation, pneumatics, injection moulding and electricity is a plus.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the mechanical design of assigned projects from initial concept to installation and delivery of the machine.
Encouraged to introduce new concepts and approaches to machine design.
Recommending materials and components based on required functionalities.
