Job summary

PEC SE ASIA SDN BHD seeks a Business Development Manager SE Asia to lead the full sales cycle for our battery test and manufacturing equipment portfolio across Southeast Asia, based in Penang, Malaysia. You will identify new prospects, expand opportunities, and coordinate technical sessions with customers and internal teams.

You will travel frequently within Southeast Asia to secure orders, present quotations, and drive market adoption while collaborating with pre-sales, marketing, and partners

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical field.
• Minimum 5 years in technical sales or business development.
• Existing network within the battery industry is a strong advantage.
• Fluent in English; additional regional languages are a plus.
• Willingness to travel frequently within Southeast Asia.

Responsibilities

• Identify new prospects and develop new revenue streams across Southeast Asia.
• Develop and expand sales opportunities with existing customers.
• Conduct on-site customer visits and deliver technical and commercial presentations.
• Organize and coordinate product demonstrations for prospective customers.
• Work closely with the pre-sales and technical teams to support customer engagements.
• Support marketing activities and participate in trade shows and industry events.
• Prepare, present, and negotiate commercial quotations.
• Secure purchase orders and achieve agreed sales targets.

Your Responsibilities

You will be responsible for managing the full sales cycle of our standard battery test and manufacturing equipment portfolio in Southeast Asia. You will:

Identify new prospects and develop new revenue streams across Southeast Asia

Your Profile

We are looking for a highly motivated and results-driven professional who meets the following requirements:

Strong technical background; minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in technical sales or business development

Existing personal network within the battery industry is a strong advantage

Strong commercial mindset with excellent negotiation skills

Fluent in English (C2) additional regional languages are a plus

Proactive, self-driven, and able to work independently with an entrepreneurial mindset

Willingness to travel frequently within Southeast Asia
