Job summary

KTA Tenaga Sdn Bhd is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer in Malaysia to design mechanical systems for diverse projects including commercial, residential, healthcare and data centers. You will collaborate with clients, consultants and contractors to deliver robust engineering solutions.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of relevant experience, a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, and registration as a Graduate Engineer with BEM. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply for this position.

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years of working experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer in a local engineering consultancy.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical systems including Air Conditioning, Mechanical Ventilation, Fire Protection, Plumbing, Hot Water, NG/LPG, and BMS.
• Perform detailed design calculations to justify selected approaches.
• Represent the company in meetings with clients, consultants, contractors and regulatory authorities.
• Prepare tender documents and conduct tender evaluations.
• Review contractor submissions for compliance with design drawings and issue variation/ payment assessments.
