Job summary

SF Metal Sdn Bhd is seeking a Mechanical Designer / Draftsman to provide indoor and outdoor automation engineering support for existing clients and help develop new business.

You will assist the Engineering Manager, manage drawings submissions, liaise with production, handle sales orders, and ensure ISO 9001 and 5S compliance. SF Metal Sdn Bhd, established in 2012 with 55+ staff, specializes in sheet metal, steel structures, CNC machining, OEM and contract manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM or above.
• At least 1 year relevant working experience.
• Experience in engineering or metal fabrication environment preferred.
• Strong communication and clerical skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Engineering Manager/Director on clerical tasks.
• Provide indoor and outdoor automation engineering support and service to existing clients.
• Create and maintain good business relationships with clients.
• Assist in developing grounds for new business and orders.
• Be responsible for submission of drawings, plans and ensure information is accurate and complete.
• Attend to walk-in customers and confirmed purchase orders received by fax or email.
• Maintain sales orders by input to the system and confirm sales and issue work orders to Production Control Department.
• Liaise with Production department for work order status and ensure customer requirements are met in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance to ISO 9001 Quality Management System and Company 5S Implementation.
