Job summary

YONGCL ENGINEERING SDN. BHD. is seeking a Mechanical Cost Estimator (Quantity Surveyor) to support mechanical projects including steel fabrication, piping, and maintenance.

You will perform quantity take-offs, cost estimation, tender preparation and commercial administration, coordinating with Operations, PMO, Procurement and Finance teams. The role requires a Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related QS discipline, 3–5 years of mechanical estimation experience, strong Excel skills,

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Cost Engineering, or a related discipline
• Preferably 3–5 years of experience in mechanical estimation, industrial engineering, or related QS work
• Strong knowledge of mechanical fabrication, piping, structural steel, and industrial maintenance
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and fabrication drawings
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage
• Knowledge of material take-off, BOQ preparation, labour costing, tendering, and claims
• Good written and spoken English
• Willing to attend palm oil mill sites and fabrication workshops

Mechanical Cost Estimator (Quantity Surveyor)

To perform accurate quantity take-offs, cost estimation, tender preparation and commercial administration for mechanical engineering projects, including steel fabrication, equipment repairs, piping installation, machinery maintenance and other industrial works.

The position is responsible for ensuring project costs are properly estimated, documented, monitored and coordinated with the Operations, PMO, Procurement and Finance Departments.

Requirement

Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Cost Engineering, or a related discipline

Preferably 3–5 years of experience in mechanical estimation, industrial engineering, or related QS work

Strong knowledge of mechanical fabrication, piping, structural steel, and industrial maintenance

Ability to read and interpret mechanical and fabrication drawings
