Job summary

Arup Jururunding Sdn Bhd in Malaysia seeks a Mechanical BIM Designer to develop and coordinate BIM models for Mechanical and Public Health projects. You will work with engineers to deliver high-quality BIM drawings and documentation that meet project standards and BIM requirements.

This role offers growth into Senior BIM Designer, BIM Manager/Lead or BIM Coordinator roles, with exposure to Navisworks and BIM 360/ACC. A strong foundational knowledge of HVAC and building services is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years in construction, mechanical BIM modelling or CAD drafting.
• Experience with building services, HVAC, and ventilation is preferred.
• Exposure to Public Health systems is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Revit and drafting tools is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Mechanical and Public Health BIM models.
• Produce BIM drawings, schedules, and documentation per project requirements.
• Support BIM coordination and clash detection activities.
• Assist engineers with mechanical design layouts and drawings.
• Participate in design reviews and model coordination meetings.
• Ensure BIM models comply with standards and client requirements.
• Coordinate with internal/external stakeholders to resolve modelling issues.
• Support project delivery to meet quality, budget and schedule.
