Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to upkeep forklifts, backhoes and plant machinery at our Port Klang facility.

You will troubleshoot, repair, plan maintenance, procure parts, and ensure safety and SOP compliance while working in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 1–2 years’ experience as a Mechanic, Technician, or Foreman.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Experience in road product manufacturing or similar production plants is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Maintain forklifts, backhoes, and plant machinery including air compressors and pumps.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and perform minor breakdown maintenance.
• Procure spare parts for forklifts, backhoes, and machinery.
• Prepare and update monthly maintenance checklists.
• Plan, schedule, and execute R&M tasks.
• Ensure all R&M tasks meet schedule.
• Adhere to safety and quality standards.
• Follow SOPs, rules, and regulations.
• Assist with other operational matters within the division.

• Perform upkeep and maintenance of forklifts, backhoes, and plant machinery, including air compressors, motor pumps, mixers, piping, and other factory equipment.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and perform minor breakdown maintenance, including plumbing and welding tasks.
• Procure spare parts for forklifts, backhoes, and machinery as required.
• Prepare and update monthly maintenance checklists for all equipment.
• Plan, schedule, and execute repair & maintenance (R&M) tasks.
• Ensure that all R&M tasks are completed according to schedule.
• Adhere to safety and quality standards in all maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with the company’s SOPs, rules, and regulations.
• Assist with other operational matters within the division as needed.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanics, or related field
• 1–2 years’ experience as a Mechanic, Technician, or Foreman
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Experience in road product manufacturing (bitumen emulsions, coldmix, road markings) or similar production plants is an advantage
