Job summary

Agensi Pekerjaan Minde Group Sdn Bhd is seeking a seasoned Materials Margin Manager in Penang, Malaysia. You will own CBOM and PFC cost accuracy, and guide BU teams on future cost structures to maximize margin prior to quotations.

Role requires 8–12 years in EMS, strong P&L and cost governance skills, and expert ERP costing capabilities with SAP/INFOR. You will optimize pricing, control MPV/PPV, and ensure open-book compliance across SCM, BU, and Finance.

Qualifications

• 8 to 12 years of progressive experience within a Tier-1 or Tier-2 EMS environment.
• Advanced financial acumen with a deep understanding of P&L mechanics, gross margin generation, and inventory valuation.
• Expert-level proficiency in ERP costing and purchasing modules (SAP / INFOR).
• Strong internal and external negotiation capabilities with the authority to influence cross-functional pricing strategies.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of CBOM and Price For Customer (PFC) cost accuracy and advise BU teams on future CBOM structuring.
• Maintain separation between quoted costs and actual purchasing costs to protect materials margin.
• Lead quarterly and semi-annual cost roll processes to align inventory valuation with market realities.
• Apply should-cost modeling for complex parts with CPE and CQE teams to ensure accurate baseline costing.
• Define and execute sell-price logic to maximize MPV and conduct PPV audits.
• Act as gatekeeper to prevent early pass-through of supplier cost-downs and recover market cost increases.
• Control quarterly price updates, ensuring premiums and raw material increases are recovered.
• Enforce open-book vs closed-book rules to protect internal markup and competitive position.
• Provide actionable profitability visibility to BUMs to guide pricing decisions.
• Support RFQ processes to ensure bids have expandable margin from Day 1.
• Eliminate siloed decisions by serving as the single commercial pricing authority across SCM, BU, and Finance.
• Monitor Materials Margin % and MPV/PPV value; track re-quote effectiveness.
