Job summary

AMD in Penang, Malaysia is seeking a Material Program Manager to oversee CTB with contract manufacturers, ensure on-time delivery, and optimize inventory across CM sites. You will coordinate with Planning, Procurement, Engineering and Quality, manage CM relationships, drive recovery plans, and support ramp-up and product transitions to minimize production risk.

A bachelor’s in SCM/Engineering/Business and 5–8 years in planning, supply chain, or manufacturing in electronics is preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering or Business.
5–8 years of experience in planning, supply chain, operations or manufacturing.
Proven experience managing contract manufacturers in an OEM environment.
Experience in electronics, semiconductor, or high-mix manufacturing is preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day operations with contract manufacturers to ensure production schedules and delivery commitments.
Serve as primary planner interface between OEM and contract manufacturers.
Own and manage CTB status for all OEM products at contract manufacturers.
Ensure materials (BOM, AVL, alternate parts, ECO/ECN revisions) are available, approved, and released before build start.
Coordinate with Planning, Procurement, Engineering and Quality to resolve shortages, holds or qualification gaps.
Track material readiness, shortages, and risk items impacting production plans.
Drive material recovery plans with suppliers and CMs to minimize line stoppages and delays.
Support ramp-up, ramp-down activities at CM sites, ensuring CTB alignment with schedules.
