Job summary

Gutor is seeking a procurement professional to join our team in Malaysia. You will handle purchasing activities, issue purchase orders and requisitions, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time deliveries.

You will update the SAP MRP system and monitor stock levels to maintain accurate inventory data. The role requires a degree, good command of English, and a collaborative team approach with flexibility for overtime when needed.

• Relevant degree in any discipline with good command of English.
• Ability to work in a team and be flexible to work extra hours when required.

Responsibilities

• Handle purchasing activities including issuing purchase orders and requisitions.
• Follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Update SAP MRP data to keep information accurate.
• Review safety stock decisions and monitor usage trends.
• Participate in supplier selection and evaluation.
• Monitor commodity stock levels.
• Maintain records of purchases, quotations and suppliers.
• Liaise with shipping on import shipments.
• Coordinate with finance on supplier invoicing issues.
• Carry out other duties as directed by management.

SUMMARY OF JOB

• To involve in purchasing activities including issue Purchase Order and Purchase Requisition, Request For Quote, etc.
• To follow up with supplier to ensure timely delivery of goods ordered.
• To update SAP MRP database timely to ensure system has accurate info.
• To review safety stock decisions and timely update on usage evolution
• To involve in supplier selection and evaluation process.
• To monitor commodity to ensure sufficient stock.
• To maintain a proper record of purchase, quotation and suppliers information.
• To liaise with shipping department on materials import shipment.
• To coordinate and support finance if there is invoicing issue from suppliers.
• To carry out other duties as and when directed by the Management.
