Job summary

Renesas Electronics Corporation in Malaysia seeks a Material Planner to ensure on-time materials for production. You will work with Production Planning, Procurement, Warehouse, Logistics and suppliers to maintain inventory levels and prevent shortages.

You will analyze demand patterns, schedule deliveries, manage inventory issues, and prepare performance reports, ensuring efficient operations and alignment with production goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, engineering, or related field.
• Proficiency with SAP/ERP systems and MRP.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Job Description

The Material Planner is responsible for ensuring materials are available on time to support production. The role works closely with Production Planning, Procurement, Warehouse, Logistics, and Suppliers to maintain the right inventory levels and prevent material shortages or excess stock.

Key Responsibilities

1. Determining the required materials & generating purchase requisition.
2. Ensuring the consistent and adequate supply of materials necessary for production.
3. Coordinate with operations, engineering, purchasing, and quality to attain production goals.
4. Tracking production volume & monitoring customer demand patterns and purchasing trends.
5. Scheduling and overseeing the supply and delivery of materials and products.
6. Managing inventory issues, schedule changes, and cancellations.
7. Preparing performance reports.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.

Technical Skills

• SAP / ERP system knowledge.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Knowledge of MRP (Material Requirements Planning).

Soft Skills

• Good communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills.
