Job summary

Celestica Inc. in Penang seeks an Analyst, Material Costing and Awards to receive, process, negotiate and submit material cost solutions for new business opportunities, including bid to bid and bid to buy, and to validate customer re-pricing.

The role requires 3–6 years in purchasing or similar, strong analytical and negotiation skills, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive cost improvements across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years experience in purchasing, supply chain, commodity or engineering environment.
• Overnight Travel: Occasional >5% of the time

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier RFQ process for specific commodity groups across projects to meet costing due dates.
• Lead component-level supplier negotiations to secure cost solutions.
• Drive supplier performance improvements via cost metrics and scorecards.
• Provide commodity strategy including benchmarking, analysis and supplier selection.
• Identify and justify alternate component solutions.
• Provide competitive cost estimates for complex parts.
• Communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Review material cost and competitiveness with management.
