Job summary

Sandisk is hiring for a hands-on position in Penang, Malaysia, focused on leading New Product Development lot and Work-Order execution at SMT. The role requires following SOP/WI/VAR to achieve desired yields and throughput, with data collection and collaboration with Engineers for continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will have a Diploma in Electronics or related fields, at least 2 years of relevant experience, and be comfortable with 12-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• Diploma in electronics/electrical/mechanical and computer technology.
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in related field.
• Willing to work 12-hour shifts.
• Advanced skills in Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Lead New Product Development lot/Work-Order execution at SMT.
• Ensure all execution activities follow SOP, WI, and VAR to meet yield and throughput expectations.
• Collect and summarize engineering data (Yield, Process Capability, Metrology Data, Error logs) and communicate findings to engineers for improvement.
• Prepare and set up collateral, jigs/fixtures to ensure build readiness.
• Assist Engineers with follow-up with Operations and Quality on Work Order closure.
• Assist Engineers with first article inspection and final buyoff including rework qualification.

Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Leading New Product Development lot/Work-Order execution at SMT.
• Ensuring all execution activities follow SOP, WI, and VAR to meet yield and throughput expectations.
• Collecting and summarizing engineering data (Yield, Process Capability, Metrology Data, Error logs), observing any learnings, and communicating them to respective Engineers for improvement purposes.
• Preparing and setting up required collateral, jigs/fixtures to ensure build readiness.
• Assisting Engineers in following up with Operation and Quality teams on Work Order closure.
• Assisting Engineers with new material/component first articles inspection and final buyoff including rework qualification.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

• Diploma related Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical and Computer Technology
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience working in an area of their specialty or related field
• Willing to work in 12 hours shift
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint

Preferred

• Hands-on experience with FUJI NXT Pick and Place machines
• Familiar with AOI programming (Koh Young)
• Hands on SMT reflow profiling and profile board fabrication
• Familiar with Glue dispensing (Asymtek), Strain Gauge data collection
• Experience on rework process on boards.
