Job summary

GRIT in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Martech & Customer Data Integration Specialist to deliver and optimise customer data and engagement solutions across a complex technology environment.

This hands-on role spans APIs, CDP/CEP integrations, data mapping, testing and post-production support, collaborating with architecture, engineering and external partners to ensure reliable data movement and seamless customer journeys.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in systems integration, enterprise apps, APIs, Martech/CDP or data engineering with integration focus.
• Strong REST APIs, webhooks, JSON/XML and event-driven patterns.
• Hands-on SQL for data validation, investigation and analysis.
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman.
• Exposure to API gateways, middleware, microservices or cloud-based integration environments.
• Experience supporting integration testing, UAT, production releases and application support.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical skills, and ability to collaborate across technical and business stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Support the integration of Customer Data / Customer Engagement Platforms with internal and external applications.
• Work with APIs, webhooks, event-based interfaces, batch processes and data exchanges to enable reliable data movement.
• Review data structures, interface specifications and integration requirements to ensure solutions are technically sound.
• Work with customer, transaction, loyalty, campaign and behavioural data, including data mapping, identity matching, migration and reconciliation.
• Monitor data and integration quality, investigate discrepancies and work with relevant teams to resolve issues.
• Collaborate with architecture, engineering, data and external technology partners on integration design and delivery.
• Support SIT, UAT, performance testing, deployment and post-production validation.
• Provide L2 support for integration and application issues, including troubleshooting data pipeline and customer journey-related incidents.
• Conduct root-cause analysis and identify opportunities to improve integration reliability and operational efficiency.
• Coordinate technical activities and dependencies across multiple teams and vendors.

What We're Looking For

• Strong understanding of REST APIs, webhooks, JSON/XML and event-driven integration patterns.
• Hands‑on experience with SQL for data validation, investigation and analysis.
• Experience with API testing/troubleshooting tools such as Postman.
• Exposure to API gateways, middleware, microservices or cloud-based integration environments.
• Experience supporting integration testing, UAT, production releases and application support.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, with the ability to identify the root cause of data or integration issues.
• Comfortable working across technical and business stakeholders, including external technology partners.
