About the role
To support MRCA’s marketing and communication initiatives with a strong focus on membership growth, business development, event-driven recruitment and Corporate Patron engagement.
Key Responsibilities
1. Membership Growth & Recruitment
- Identify and approach potential MRCA members through networking, marketing campaigns, referrals, events and other channels.
- Follow up on membership enquiries and applications to drive successful conversions.
- Develop and execute membership recruitment campaigns and initiatives.
- Organise networking and promotional activities to attract prospective members.
- Maintain a pipeline of prospective members and provide regular recruitment updates to Management.
2. Corporate Patron Engagement
- Liaise with MRCA’s Corporate Patrons and maintain regular engagement throughout the patronage period.
- Monitor and coordinate agreed patron entitlements and benefits to ensure timely delivery.
- Maintain a Patron Entitlement Tracker and follow up with relevant internal teams on outstanding deliverables.
- Keep Patrons informed of relevant MRCA events, programmes and engagement opportunities.
- Support Patron satisfaction, relationship building and renewal.
3. Marketing & Communications
- Support and implement marketing campaigns, events, promotional activities and communications, including initiatives that enhance member benefits, engagement and value.
- Prepare and coordinate marketing materials, membership presentations, EDMs, WhatsApp communications and other promotional content.
- Work with the digital and social media functions to promote MRCA’s membership, events and initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to increase MRCA’s visibility and attract new members and stakeholders.
4. Reporting & Administration
- Maintain updated records of prospective members, membership leads and Corporate Patron engagements.
- Track membership recruitment results, event-generated leads and patron entitlement fulfilment.
- Prepare regular reports and updates for Management.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Development or any related field.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in marketing, business development, sales, membership recruitment, events, corporate relations, communications or similar roles.
- Strong communication, presentation, networking and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive, resourceful and comfortable approaching and engaging new people.
- Strong follow-up skills with the ability to manage multiple leads and stakeholder relationships.
- Good organisational, coordination and event management skills.
- Able to confidently engage with business owners, senior management, corporate representatives and external stakeholders.
- Good command of spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Ability to communicate in multilanguage will be an added advantage.
- Friendly, approachable and easy-going personality with strong relationship-building skills.
- Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams and Management.
