Job summary

OMO DESIGN & ADVERTISING is seeking a driven Marketer with a sales focus in Kuala Lumpur. The role involves generating new business, converting prospects into clients, and nurturing existing relationships.

You will participate in marketing activities like lead generation, campaigns, social media, and market research to support growth. Responsibilities include identifying clients, delivering tailored pitches and proposals, following up on leads, and closing deals to meet monthly targets.

About the Role

We are looking for a driven and results-oriented Marketer to join our team.

This is a sales-focused marketing role where your main responsibility is to generate new business, convert prospects into clients, and grow existing client relationships.

You will be involved in the full client journey — from identifying potential clients and generating leads, to understanding their business needs, presenting suitable marketing solutions, following up, closing deals, and maintaining strong client relationships.

At the same time, you will be involved in marketing activities such as lead generation, campaigns, social media, and market research to support business growth.

Your main goal is to bring in sales and revenue, with marketing being an important tool to generate and convert business opportunities.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Identify and prospect new potential clients to generate business opportunities
• Reach out to potential clients through online and offline channels
• Follow up with leads, enquiries, and prospects to drive sales
• Understand clients' business needs, challenges, and marketing objectives
• Present and promote OMO DESIGN & ADVERTISING's marketing and advertising services to potential clients
• Prepare and deliver tailored pitches, proposals & quotations based on client preferences & requirements
• Negotiate and close deals to achieve monthly sales and revenue targets
• Build and maintain strong relationships with both prospects and existing clients
• Identify opportunities for repeat business, upselling, and growing existing client accounts
• Support business development activities and explore new opportunities to expand the client base
• Generate leads through online and offline marketing activities
• Plan and execute marketing campaigns to support lead generation and business growth
• Manage social media content and other marketing activities when required
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new sales and marketing opportunities
• Work closely with the creative, advertising, and internal teams to develop suitable solutions for clients
• Maintain proper records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline progress
• Track and report on sales performance, lead generation, and client progress
• Continuously improve approaches to generate more qualified leads, conversions, and sales

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who is commercially driven, proactive, and interested in both marketing and sales.

• Experience in sales, marketing, business development, account management, or a similar client-facing role
• Strong interest and understanding of marketing, advertising, social media, and digital marketing
• Results-driven mindset with a strong focus on generating leads, closing sales, and achieving targets
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients
• Comfortable approaching, communicating with, and following up with potential clients
• Confident in pitching, preparing proposals and quotations, negotiating, and closing deals
• Able to understand client needs and recommend suitable marketing solutions
• Proactive and creative in finding new clients and business opportunities
• Strong follow-up, organisational, and time management skills
• Comfortable working with sales targets, KPIs, and performance metrics
• Able to build and maintain long-term client relationships
• Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with the creative and internal teams
• Previous experience in a marketing agency, advertising, sales, or account management environment is an advantage
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Sales, Communications, or a related field is an advantage
