TheidealprofileisaqualifiedaccountantwithastrongexperienceasaFinancialController,withtheabilitytoworkindependentlyandcovermultipletaskssimultaneously.TheFinancialControllerwillbebasedintheKualaLumpuroffice.ThepersonwillreporttotheGroupFinancialControlleranddottedlinetoMarketFinanceDirector.

Job Responsibility:

• Acting as the key partner to Market Finance Director in all financial areas.
• Ensure presence of an effective control, policy compliance, verification on financial statements, balance sheet recon review.
• Ensure that an effective risk management process and a sound control environment exists in the countries and ensure compliance at all time.
• Monitor the local statutory audit and tax deadlines and ensure timely submission.
• Streamline organization structure, including entity liquidation or amalgamation.
• Monitor month end close activities including group reporting package (“GRP”) submission.
• Collaborate with Record to Report (“R2R”), Purchase to Payables (“P2P”) and Order to Cash (“O2C”) teams on operational matters or projects.
• Review, assess and enable the adoption of accounting standards such as local GAAP and International Accounting Standards.
• Provide inputs to Market Business Controllers on monthly financial report and variance analysis, budgeting and forecasting or other analysis.
• Ad-hoc duties such as review and approve payment, review cashflow forecast etc.

Job Requirements:

• Certified accountant (CPA, ACCA, etc.)
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in financial reporting, tax planning, and compliance with IFRS or local GAAP (North Asian countries).
• Strong knowledge of financial systems especially Microsoft D365.
• An all-rounder with an ability to roll up sleeves and dig in.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Possess good working attitude, interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Experience with China financial and statutory reporting will be an added advantage.
