Job summary

Paaras Marine Solutions Sdn Bhd is looking for a Marine Civil Structural Engineer to join our team in Malaysia. You will work on a diverse range of port, harbour and maritime infrastructure projects, designing piled foundations, quay walls, jetties, and marine structures.

You will perform structural analyses, prepare calculations and reports for client approval and statutory submissions, and collaborate with drafting professionals to deliver construction drawings and 3D models.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil and Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in structural analysis and design, preferably involving marine, port, harbour, offshore or related infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of reinforced concrete, structural steel and pile geotechnical design.
• Proficient in structural analysis software such as STAAD.Pro.
• Able to prepare simple CAD sketches and interpret engineering drawings.
• Familiar with BS 6349, Eurocodes and other relevant marine and structural design standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Self‑motivated, eager to learn and keen to build a career in marine and maritime engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design maritime structures including piled foundations, quay walls, jetties, dolphins, reinforced concrete & steel structures and structural connections.
• Perform structural analysis, engineering calculations, prepare technical reports and design documentation for client approval and statutory submissions.
• Prepare simple CAD sketches and concepts and work closely with a dedicated drafting and modelling personnel to produce design and construction drawings and 3D models.
