Job summary

Responsibilities

• Issuing Stowage- and Lashing plans using AutoCAD.
• Supervision of cargo handling operations in the APAC region.
• Reviewing Stowage- and Lashing plans and calculations.

Skills

Port captain experience

Understanding of vessel deck constructions

Handling Windpower components

Loading, lashing and vessel operations

Location: APAC

We are looking for candidates located near our offices in the APAC region. Preferred location is Malaysia, Singapore, or Vietnam.

Key responsibilities

• Issuing Stowage- and Lashing plans using AutoCAD
• Issuing the related Lashing calculations
• Supervision of cargo handling operations, mainly for the APAC region
• Reviewing Stowage- and Lashing plans and related calculations from others
• Issuing Method Statements, as well as Lifting- and Rigging plans
• Create ballast plans and mooring analysis, if applicable
• Maintaining qualified communication and build up professional relationships with dteq clients
• Cultivating and supporting relationships within the deugro group companies

Skills, knowledge and expertise

• At least 3 years of experience as a port captain, supercargo or in a similar role
• Good knowledge about the actual applicable industry standards (IMO CSS / DNV GL)
• Good understanding of vessel deck constructions
• Good knowledge in handling of Windpower components
• Proven knowledge of loading, lashing and vessel operations
• Proficient in MS Office / 365
• Good communication as well as good command of written and spoken English
• Good understanding of vessel operations
• On-hands and proactive working attitude and a team player mindset
• Ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines
• Solution-driven way of working and ability to think outside the box
• Excellent knowledge of QHSES rules and regulations in ports and on-board vessels
• Ability to travel (also on short notice, approx. 30%)
