SEE SONG & SONS Sdn Bhd is seeking a Crewing Manager in Malaysia to oversee crewing for assigned vessels, arrange permits, flights, and transport, and prepare crew contracts. You will verify crew documentation, maintain personnel files, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

The role requires strong communication, MS Office skills, and willingness to travel as needed. Experience in crewing management is advantageous; you'll liaise with agents for visas and authority

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Maritime Management, Business, Management, or Human Resources.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Motivated, reliable, independent, and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Willing to travel when required and able to liaise with agencies.

Manage vessels assigned and handle all related crewing matters.

Handle crew permits, flight, and transport booking arrangements.

Prepare crew employment contracts.

Verify crew qualifications and documentation.

Check the authenticity of crew documents with the respective maritime authorities.

Recruit to fill shortage requirements and ensure all sign-on/sign-off formalities are properly completed.

Monitor crew expenses and claims.

Update marine personnel files and computer records.

Ensure all crewing matters for assigned vessels comply with company policies and procedures.

Perform any other administrative duties as required by the Manager.

Assist in reviewing internal office procedures and documents for crewing and operations.

Source crew to fill vacancies at the required vessels.

Conduct initial screening of shortlisted applicants before endorsing to technical or operational personnel for final interview.

Arrange interviews for officers.

Conduct interviews for rating crew.

Plan crew changes in advance; check availability of crew and compliance of all certificates and training.

Ensure personnel files and all crew certifications are kept up-to-date and uploaded in the system.

Liaise with agents on crew change schedules, visa requirements, and authority formalities.

Arrange cost-effective travel for crew changes.

Arrange any additional training if required.

Requirements

Minimum Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Maritime Management, Business, Management, or Human Resources.

Possess good written and oral communication skills.

Proficiency in MS Office applications and good computer knowledge.

Highly motivated, reliable, independent, a good team player, and able to work with minimum supervision.

Possess good personal characteristics; committed to the job and responsibilities.

Additional Requirements

Familiar with PLKS application (would be an advantage).

Willing to travel when required.

Mandrin speaker (would be an advantage).

One year of related working experience in crewing management would be an advantage
