Job summary

Wilhelmsen Port Services Malaysia Sdn Bhd in Labuan seeks an Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to support the Technical Superintendent in equipment maintenance and asset management for cold lay-up vessels. You will lead the Electrical Maintenance Team, oversee routine maintenance, and ensure safe operation of shipboard electrical systems, alarms, and shore connections.

The role requires coordinating with vessel crews and responding to emergencies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years' experience in shipping operations and maintenance.
• Experience with maintenance and electrical systems.
• Diploma/Degree in a relevant field from a recognized institution.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Electrical Maintenance Team for vessels assigned to WSMLD lay-up services.
• Perform routine electrical maintenance and respond to emergencies.
• Train team members on safe handling of shipboard machinery.
• Inspect equipment such as Fire Alarm Panels, Bilge Alarms, GPS, VHF, and batteries.
• Supervise shore generator operations and switchboard checks.
• Prepare defect reports and support commissioning of shore connections.
• Attend meetings for new vessels and provide progress updates.
• Act as part of the Emergency Response Team.
