Job summary

Emerson Network Power, a business of Emerson, is seeking a Manufacturing Technician in Malaysia to improve and optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency, cost, and quality. You will plan production schedules, oversee maintenance, and ensure quality through inspections and audits.

The role requires a Diploma in Electrical Engineering / Mechanical / Mechatronic, 3–5 years of manufacturing experience, and strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering / Mechanical / Mechatronic.
• A0 Certification is must (for Diploma / Cert in Electrical).
• 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma certification is an advantage.
• Knowledge of automation and robotics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Improve and optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency, cost, and quality.
• Plan and maintain production schedules to meet delivery timelines.
• Oversee equipment maintenance, calibration, and performance.
• Ensure product quality through inspections, audits, and compliance with standards.
• Analyze costs and implement strategies for savings without compromising quality.
• Support new product introduction (NPI) and provide input on manufacturability.
• Document processes, procedures, and specifications accurately.
• Train and support production teams on new processes and equipment.
• Resolve production issues with corrective and preventive actions.
• Promote workplace safety and compliance with EHS regulations.
• Collaborate with design, supply chain, and quality teams.
• Lead or support manufacturing-related projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
