Job summary

Boston Scientific Medical Device (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to support production methods, troubleshoot electronics and PLCs, and manage critical spare parts.

You will perform equipment qualifications, assist in method development and design, and interact with internal teams and external vendors. A Diploma or higher in a relevant engineering field is required along with 3–5 years of experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in Electrical/Electronic, Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering.
• 3-5 years of relevant equipment/maintenance experience.
• Hands-on equipment or tester troubleshooting.
• Strong electronics knowledge.
• Experience in preventive maintenance and equipment qualification/validation.
• Experience with critical spare parts management.

Responsibilities

• Work with Manufacturing Engineers in developing, trouble shooting, standardizing and improving existing production methods and procedures.
• Work on Electronic troubleshooting, PLC. programming, electronic hardware interfacing.
• Maintain a critical spares inventory for key maintenance items to minimise downtime.
• Assist ME’s in investigating and implementing new production methods.
• Assist ME’s in design methods, part sourcing and documentation.
• Perform equipment qualifications and validations, including report writing etc.
• Design, specify, manufacture, test and document production equipment, changes and improvements.
• Interface with a variety of BSIL personnel and with outside vendors when necessary while performing the above.
• Take responsibility for preventative maintenance procedures with an assigned process or area.
• Communicates any concerns about work process regarding environmental impact, health or safety issues to their manager.

Job description

Part of core team to respond to equipment, yield and process related issues, implement corrective and preventative actions to eliminate repeat instances.

Job Responsibilities

Job Requirements

Diploma or above in Electrical/Electronic, Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering.

3-5 years of relevant equipment/maintenance experience.

Hands‑on equipment or tester troubleshooting.

Strong electronics knowledge.

Experience in preventive maintenance and equipment qualification/validation.

Experience with critical spare parts management.

Added advantage:

Tester PM experience.

PLC programming/electronic hardware interfacing.
